OXNARD, California — November 5, 2026. Voters in Oxnard gave an early No majority to Measure E in the November 3 general election. The publicly available Ventura County results list 14,842 No votes (53.52%) and 12,892 Yes (46.48%), a reported No margin of 1,950 votes. These figures are an unofficial election-night snapshot, not an official determination of the measure’s legal fate.
Why the exact measure language matters
Measure E is a city ballot question. The results feed identifies how voters selected Yes or No, but the precise proposed legal changes and any required adoption threshold must be checked against the official county ballot pamphlet. An article about election returns alone should not claim that the measure changes a particular tax, land-use rule, or city service without first verifying its complete title and ballot text.
What the numbers represent
The available count includes 27,734 valid Yes/No selections. The 53.52% No share is a share of valid votes for this question, not of all registered voters or of all ballots cast in Oxnard. Additional qualifying ballots and official review may alter the total and percentage.
Three separate council districts also voted
Oxnard residents also elected representatives in separate City Council districts. In District 1, Bert Perello has 3,419 votes, John Barrick 3,330, and Eduardo Huerta 1,140, a 89-vote difference between the first two. District 2’s Gabriel Teran has 2,524 to Lizanne Nañez’s 1,820. In District 5, Gabriela Basua leads Noemi Corpuz 2,130 to 1,724. These district election results are detailed in California58’s Oxnard city council report. No council ballots should be confused with the Measure E voter total.
When results become official
Ventura County continues to receive and validate lawful ballots under California election rules. The NBC Los Angeles election table provides the current cited snapshot; for the next release, consult the Ventura County Registrar. A county’s early result is not certified merely because all precincts have submitted initial returns.
